4. Gunner Stockton had a quiet yet dominant performance
Gunner Stockton was coming off a five touchdown performance his last time out against Ole Miss that shot him into the Heisman Trophy conversation. Unfortunately he did not keep that pace up against Florida, but he still had a dominant performance.
Stockton completed 20 of 29 passes on Saturday for 223 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw an interception, but it's hard to blame him for that as his receiver dropped a pass that should have been caught that deflected right to a Florida defender.
The hope is that Stockton will get back to the version Georgia saw against Ole Miss, but it's encouraging to see him never give up even after the offense stalled out a few times against Florida. He remained focused, didn't let his poor plays get to him and was ready to lead Georgia on the game-winning drive when the defense turned the Gators over on downs late in the fourth quarter.
