2. All Daylen Everette does is intercept passes in the SEC Championship game
Daylen Everette has earned arguably one of the best repuations in SEC Championship game history. Last year against Texas Everete hauled in two interceptions en route to winning the Championship game MVP. He was unable to repeat as the winner of that award this season, but he hauled in yet another interception in the biggest game of the season.
This interception came early in the game with Georgia leading 7-0. Alabama was putting a mini drive together until Everette came up with this interception that gave all of the momentum to Georgia. Everette also had a solid return after picking off Ty Simpson, but he did grab a defenders facemask during his return. Georgia however was still able to score a touchdown after this takeway to extend their lead to 14-0.
Everette has been a solid player for Georgia all season, but it is nice having a player that always shows up in the biggest moments. Georgia may only have Everette in their secondary for the rest of this season before he departs for the NFL, but he likely has a few more big plays in store throughout Georgia's playoff run.
