5. Texas is beginning to show some life

Texas went from the preseason favorite to win the National Championship to a laughing stock in a matter of a few weeks. And entering week four, the Longhorns hadn’t done anything to change that.

Texas however did take their first step to showing they can contend in the SEC after beating Sam Houston 55-0.

Arch Manning finally had the first good game of his career, the Texas run game was dominant all night long, and the Longhorns defense continued their solid play as well. So all around, this Texas team showed on Saturday that they could be a problem for Georgia this season.

The only question that remains is if the Longhorns can continue playing this well against SEC teams, and they’ll get their first crack at that in two weeks at Florida.
