5. Winning a rivalry game is the only thing that matters
Even if Georgia fans may be a little concerned going foward, they should still be very happy with the result on Friday night. Winning football games is difficult, and winning rivalry games is even more challenging, but Georgia not only just won another rivalry game, but they went another season without losing to any of their rivals.
Looking at Georgia Tech specifically though this is the eighth straight year Georgia was able to take down their in-state rival. No one needs to be told how impressive beating anyone eight times in a row is, but this is actually the longest win streak in program history against Georgia Tech. So that is reason enough to put all the negatives to the side and enjoy this win as much as possible.
Everyone at Georgia would have preferred to see UGA play a little better, but at the end of the day the Bulldogs won and that is all that really matters.
