In a few months Georgia will begin hosting major recruiting events every weekend. From mid-May through the month of June recruits from across the country will come to Athens to take their official visits to see what Georgia is all about.
Kirby Smart and his staff are responsible for getting their top recruits to come to campus, but sometimes players already committed to Georgia offer to help out as well. But five-star running back Kemon Spell is going above and beyond to the point where he is kind of doing Smart's job for him.
”It is now believed that (Jimmy) Kalas will visit UGA on the same OV weekend that Spell will be from May 29-31,” Jeff Sentell said via dawgnation.com. “That will be the same OV weekend that electric 4-star Pittsburgh WR talent Khalil Taylor plans to be in town. Current intel suggests that Taylor is considering UGA a lot more strongly than most might think. For the foreseeable future, DawgNation will be describing those official visit dates as “PA to GA” weekend. The Bulldogs will attempt to recruit three of the Top 10 players in Pennsylvania to their 2027 class on those days.”
Kemon Spell is becoming Georgia's best recruiter
Spell committed to Georgia just a few weeks ago, and ever since he has been hard at work helping recruit more players to Georgia. Last week he publicaly shared a few targets that he is working on getting to Georgia, and it looks like his efforts have not slowed down.
Spell is the No. 1 player from Pennsylvania. It isn't too often that Georgia adds players from that state because of how far away it is, but they were able to win Spell over who is now helping them add more players from the state. This includes Jimmy Kalas and Khalil Taylor who are both top 10 players from Pennsylvania as well.
All three players are scheduled to take an official visit to Georgia during the last weekend of May. Each player will ultimately make whatever decision is best for themselves, but Spell is going to do everything he can to ensure they become Bulldogs with him.
