Rivals released an update to their 2027 recruiting class rankings on Monday. Georgia only has a few recruits committed to their 2027 class at this point, but this update did impact a few of their commits and recruits they are targeting.
Kemon Spell is a running back who is committed to Georgia and viewed as one of the top running backs in the country. His ranking has always reflected that on every recruiting site, but he unfortunately saw his ranking drop after this update from Rivals.

5-star Kemon Spell drops in Rivals rankings
Before diving into Spell's drop in his ranking, it's important to highlight that he is the No. 11 player. That is extremely impressive and shows just how great of a player he is and why Georgia fans should be extremely excited for his arrival next year. Spell is even the No. 1 running back in the country as well which is yet another reason for Georgia fans to feel good.
But Spell was the No. 9 player accroding to Rivals before this update, so they no longer think he is as good as they once did. On top of that, he is now the No. 2 player from his home state of Pennsylvania as well.
At the end of the day this doesn't really matter all that much. Spell is as good as any running back Georgia has ever earned a commitment from, so the ranking given to him by recruiting sites shouldn't matter. But even if that is the case it is still nice to see Georgia's commits be ranked as high as possible, especially in the case of Spell when he arguably deserves to be ranked higher.
There will be plenty more updates to these rankings before the end of the year, so he does have a chance to climb back up the rankings. But as of now he is the No. 11 player in the country which is just fine with everyone at Georgia.
