The summer months means that recruiting is taking center stage in college football. These months may not be the most exciting for Georgia football fans, but this is the time where Kirby Smart and Georgia really separate themselves from the rest of the country and the SEC.
The Bulldogs have signed three straight top two recruiting classes, so as long as Georgia continues doing that they will not be going anywhere on the national landscape. One way that Georgia is able to sign such elite classes, especially compared to everyone else in the SEC, is because they steal elite recruits that are committed to other programs.
While there are many targets that Georgia has their eyes on, not all are reciprocating that interest back to UGA. That however isn’t the case with five-star Tennessee offensive tackle commit Gabriel Osenda.
“It is only Georgia that could turn my head.”
5-star Tennessee commit is keeping his eye on Georgia
According to 247Sports, Osenda is the No. 19 overall player in the country and the No. 4 offensive tackle in the 2026 class. He also is the No. 2 overall player from his home state of Tennessee as well.
Osenda has been committed to Tennessee since January of this year, and since committing he has shut his recruitment down. That however is no longer the case as he specifically stated that Georgia is the only team that he would even think about flipping to.
Being that he is from Tennessee, it is going to be very difficult to flip him from the Volunteers. But if any school can flip him it would be Georgia because UGA has dominated Tennessee in recent years, winning the last eight matchups by at least 14 points.
Offensive line recruiting has been on the minds of all Georgia fans after losing Jackson Cantwell to Miami last week. But even though Osenda isn’t ranked as high as Cantwell, he isn’t too far behind and would be a massive addition to the Bulldogs’ program.
