It may only be mid-February, but many recruitments across the country are beginning to heat up. This includes many of the top recruiting targets for Georgia football.

A spotlight will always be on Kirby Smart and Georgia on the recruiting trail because they are always targeting the highest ranked players in the country. And when that occurs that means tensions will be high and everyone in the country will be following their recruitments.

One player that Georgia is aggressively targeting just announced their top 11 schools which may not seem like big news, but a lot of other information has recently come out that is a big deal for Georgia.

5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho

Immanuel Iheanacho is a five-star offensive tackle from Rockville, MD. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Iheanacho is the No. 1 overall recruit from his home state of Maryland. He is also the No. 2 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 3 overall player in the 2026 class.

Iheanacho gave Georgia some great news on Wednesday as he put the Bulldogs in his top 11 schools. According to Hayes Fawcett with On3, Oregon, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Maryland, Florida, Miami (FL), Auburn, Tennessee and Texas A&M also made his top 11 with Georgia as well.

While Iheanacho will be focusing on these 11 schools, there is a small list of programs who he has shared are the leaders in his recruitment right now. Those schools are Georgia, Oregon and Penn State. Unfortunately he does give the edge to Oregon right now.

The good news for UGA is that Iheanacho has an official visit scheduled to Athens later this summer, so they will have a chance to catch the Ducks. So hopefully that visit goes well because Georgia needs someone of Iheanacho's caliber on their team.
