Things are really beginning to heat up in the recruitment for five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews. And the good news for Georgia is that they are in the thick of it.

Matthews is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 2 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class. That makes Matthews potentially the biggest recruit Georgia will target in the 2027 class. So when Matthews makes an update in his recruitment it is important for Georgia to listen, and most recently he used the word "aura" to describe what he loves about UGA's program.

5-star OT uses the perfect word to describe Georgia

Aura is one of those words that doesn't really have a specific meaning, but it is most certainly a good thing to have. A football program having good aura means that they have a good culture, are a fun program to be around and are a place that any recruit would be lucky to be a part of. So Matthews using that word to describe Georgia is a big deal.

The fact that Georgia is in Matthews' top three (along with Texas A&M and Mimai) however is an even bigger deal.

Matthews announced these three schools as his top schools right now, and he even went as far as to say that he only plans to take an official visit to these three programs this summer. So that means that Matthews doesn't have any interest in any other schools right now.

That obviously could change throughout his recruitment, but right now Georgia is right where they want to be. They are one of his top schools and have as good of a chance as anyone to win this recruitment.

And when it comes to recruits nowadays, being associate with the word "aura" is never a bad thing.
