It's no secret that the best recruits in the country want to play with other elite recruits in college. That is why it was such a big deal when five-star quarterback Jared Curtis committed to Georgia about a month ago.
Having the No. 1 QB coming to Athens is a huge deal simply because of how talented he is, but the ripple effect that is expected is arguably even better. Every recruit across the country will likely want to give Georgia another look based simply on the fact that Curtis is going to UGA.
But the one thing that will make recruits want to follow Curtis to Georgia even more is when he is actively recruiting them as well. And that is exactly what Curtis just did on Saturday on social media as he sent a message to the 18 official visitors visiting Athens this weekend.
"Everyone at Georgia this weekend for the OV... make the right choice! Go dawgs."
Jared Curtis hoping for a better outcome this time
It was well documented how much Curtis was recruiting five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell to Georgia in the beginning of May. Curtis even took another trip to Athens when Cantwell was visiting to try and ensure he’d become a Bulldog as well.
Unfortunately that did not work out for Curtis and Georgia as Cantwell ended up committing to Miami (FL) instead.
So the hope this time around is that Curtis’s recruiting efforts will be better received by these recruits. And so far it appears to be working as On3 insider Hayes Fawcett hinted at some major news coming for Georgia.
It remains to be seen if this post from Fawcett is regarding a new commit or not, but with Curtis helping the recruiting effort it would not be shocking for Kirby Smart and Georgia to close on a recruit very soon.
