3. Indiana Hoosiers
Potentially the most surprising team to see on this list is the Indiana Hoosiers. One would think this is about basketball since that is what their school is known for, but the Hoosiers are an absolute problem on the gridiron this season. And the committee's rankings prove that as they were named the No. 2 team in the country.
Indiana hasn't faced the most difficult schedule in the country, but they do have a couple really good wins. The Hoosiers took down a ranked Illinois team earlier this season 63-10 before traveling to Oregon and beating the Ducks 30-20. Up until this win over Oregon the Hoosiers were yet to win a big game the last two years, but they killed that narrative against the Ducks.
Indiana is a lock to make the playoff at this point because of their easy schedule the rest of the season. They likely will get to play Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game in December, but both teams will make the 12-team field regardless of that outcome.
So while Indiana isn't a name that will strike fear into many teams, their team this season should. So the Hoosiers, potentially more than anyone else, should be someone Georgia wants to avoid at all costs.
