Georgia football sits at 5-1 this season after their impressive victory over Auburn on Saturday. While it is nice to be 5-1, there are still a lot of problems that Georgia needs to solve if they are going to accomplish their goals this season.
But there is one thing that is frustrating Georgia fans the most, and former UGA quarterback Aaron Murray explained it to perfection.
A dream start for “insert team” is said way too often against UGAs defense

Aaron Murray says the quiet part out loud about Georgia's defense
Murray explained in the above social media post that the one thing happening far too often this season is slow starts from Georgia's defense. Game after game Georgia's defense is struggling at the beginning of every game to the point where the opposing offense is having a "dream start."
This occurred this past weekend against Auburn when the Tigers offense put up a quick 10 point while being one play away from adding another touchdown right before halftime. Thankfully Georgia's defense forced a turnover from Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold, but that game was dangerously close to being 17-0.
Georgia's game against Auburn isn't the only example of slow defensive starts either. A few weeks ago Alabama's offense scored a touchdown on their first two of drives of the game. Then there was the Tennessee game where the Volunteers jumped out to a quick 21-7 lead.
The frustrating part about these slow starts is that Georgia's defense typically plays out of their mind in the second half. Georgia gave up zero points against Alabama and Auburn in the second half, and after spotting Tennessee 21 points they played much better as well. So the problem Georgia fans have is quite simple to understand because all they want is UGA to play to their potential the entire game.
If Georgia's defense can figure out how to start games fast then UGA might be unbeatable. At this point that is a big ask, but it is the single most important problem Georgia needs to solve going forward.
