A lot of blame is being thrown around the Georgia football program right now. This blame thankfully is not an issue withing the team itself, but Georgia fans are looking for anyone to blame after their loss to Alabama.

A lot of that blame is being thrown at UGA's offense, but that may not be totally fair.

Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has seen this blame being handed out to Georgia's offense, and he sent a strong message to the UGA fanbase that he does not agree.

"The blame is always on offense. The blame is always on Bobo. The offense is the strength of this football team. And people need to start holding the other side way more accountable."

Who deserves blame for Georgia's struggles?

The above statement from Murray makes it very clear that he thinks Georgia's defense deserves the blame for UGA's struggles. And after the Bulldogs last two games, it's hard to argue against him.

Georgia did come back to beat Tennessee two weeks ago, but Georgia's defense spotted the Volunteers 21 points early in the game. They also gave up 41 points overall which is far too many. Georgia's defense did play a lot better against Alabama as they only gave up 24 points, but the first half was a struggle which included two touchdowns for the Crimson Tide on their first two possessions.

So it's clear that Georgia's defense deserves a lot of blame, but so too does UGA's offense. They were not great against Alabama and fumbled multiple opportunities to win the game that Georiga's defense gave them. If they had been just a little sharper this game likely ends as a victory for Georgia.

So this exercise in reality makes no sense. It does not matter which unit deserves more blame because they are both not playing good enough right now. Maybe that will change this weekend against Kentucky, but for now UGA's entire team needs to just focus on improving.
