Georgia's win over Alabama was littered with controversy. Most of that controversy came from blown calls from the officials, and some of those calls may have had an impact on the outcome of the game.

The officials made some questionable calls both ways though. Blown calls is part of sports and it's the great teams that are able to overcome them and win anyways. That's what Georgia was able to do against Alabama and why Crimson Tide fans are the ones making excuses after the game.

The biggest missed call, from Alabama's perspective, was the missed pass interference on Georgia that would've given Alabama a first down deep in Georgia territory with three minutes left in the game.

It's hard to deny that the officials didn't mess this call up, but it didn't decide the game. Alabama still faced a manageable third down after this play while already being in field goal range, and a field goal would've tied the game at 20. Instead Alabama gave up a sack on the next play which forced them to punt the ball away.

This isn't the only play that potentially impacted the outcome of the game. Georgia fans would say that the refs missed a hold on Alabama's first touchdown that would've taken points off the board, instead the refs didn't call it and Alabama scored a big touchdown. Instead of letting that dictate how the game was going to go Georgia pushed forward and won in spite of the missed call.

Alabama fans didn't stop with poor officiating when coming up with excuses as they also blamed injuries as well.

This is probably the worst excuse an Alabama fan could make because Georgia was missing their top two running backs and two of their better receivers for the entire game. That didn't stop them from winning, so no injury actually caused Alabama to lose this game.

Georgia overcame every obstacle that Alabama couldn’t

Every team will face more than a few obstacles every single game. Whether it be a bad call from an official or a critical injury every team in the country will have something difficult thrown their way throughout the season. It's the best teams that are able to persevere through those obstacles and win, and Alabama wasn't able to do that against Georgia.

It's important to point out that no player or coach from Alabama has made these excuses publicly. For now it has only been from Alabama fans, but that doesn't change the narrative of this game.

No matter what anyone says Georgia came into Alabama's stadium and beat the Tide while having to deal with a large amount of injuries and poor calls from the officials. Alabama wasn't the only team Saturday night that had to deal with these things, but for some reason they are the only ones complaining the next day.

There's a good chance that Georgia and Alabama will meet again in the SEC Championship game. Alabama would probably love nothing more than to get some revenge, but based on how lopsided the SEC title game was last year Georgia would probably welcome the rematch as well.
