On Tuesday, February 18th, NCAA correspondent and basketball guru Andy Katz released his latest iteration of his 2025 March Madness men's NCAA Tournament bracket prediction. Katz did give Georgia basketball some good news as he has the Bulldogs as one of the last 4 teams currently in the NCAA Tournament.
Overall, Katz has Georgia as his 46th ranked team in the field of 68, and is assigning them to the South region where the Auburn Tigers are the No. 1 seed. According to Katz's projection model, Georgia would take on the No. 44 seeded Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a play-in game to get into the tournament. If Georgia were to beat Wake Forest, they would then take on No. 6 seeded UCLA.
There is still plenty of basketball left to be played for Mike White and his Bulldogs, but their path to the NCAA Tournament is narrowing. With several weeks remaining in the regular season, in addition to conference tournaments, all of these predictions and projections are subject to change, but right now Andy Katz believes the Dawgs will at least be in one of four play-in games for the NCAA tournament.

Current Odds
In case you have not noticed, confidence in the Dawgs is waning from all corners of the sports world. You can add DraftKings to that growing list, as they do not share the same level of assurance as Katz that Georgia will make the field of 68, giving the Bulldogs +135 odds of making the tournament. Just a month ago those odds were -440 so you can clearly see how Georgia's recent struggles have really hurt their chances.
The Bulldogs do have a chance to eliminate any doubt of their NCAA Tournament standing when they take on No. 1 Auburn on Saturday. A win in this game would make it vey difficult for Georgia to be left out of the tournament, so hopefully the Bulldogs can come away with this massive upset victory.
