Day three of the 2025 NFL Combine is in the books, and once again Georgia football fans had a lot to cheer for. Quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers were the participants during day three of the Combine, and Georgia had three players in total take the field.

UGA may not have a quarterback at the Combine this year, but they do have running back Trevor Etienne and a pair of wide receivers. Etienne got things started off by running the sixth fastest 40-yard dash out of the running backs, but he was quickly outdone by both Georgia wide receivers.

Wide receivers Arian Smith and Dominic Lovett took the field with a lot to prove at the Combine. Everyone knows how bad Georgia's wide receiver room was this past season as they led the country in drops. That stigma is something that will stick with both of these receivers and something they will have to prove is no longer an issue during the lead up to the NFL Draft later this April.

While the 40-yard dash has nothing to do with catching a football, a good time can help show teams that they are a great player with a lot of solid attributes. And both Smith and Lovett did just that Saturday night.

Neither Bulldog ran the fastest time out of all the wide receivers as Smith was fifth fastest and Lovett was 11th fastest, but this duo did set a Georgia football record. According to Dawg Nation, Smith and Lovett just ran the fastest pair of times from a Georgia duo at the same Combine in program history.

This is definitely a feat worth celebrating for both players individually and for Georgia football fans as well.

Smith and Lovett will have a lot more work to do to prove their issues with drops are behind them, but their 40-yard dash times were very impressive and will make them look like strong prospects to every NFL team.
