Georgia hosted nine elite recruits on their official visits this weekend. One of those visitors was four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle, who according to the 247Sports composite rankings is the No. 168 overall player in the country and a top 10 linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class.

Toodle was a massive visitor for Georgia football this weekend based simply on how talented of a player he is, but there is another reason why this visit was a big deal. That is because Toodle has been committed to rival Auburn since last July.

But it appears Georgia is still in the running for his commitment, so it'd be wise for them to do everything they possible can on this visit to try and convince him to flip to UGA. One way Kirby Smart and his staff did this was by having Georgia star linebacker Jalon Walker spend some time with Toodle during his visit.

That strategy, and the entire visit as a whole, seemed to go as good as possible for Georgia based solely on the below comment from Toodle after his visit was complete.

“Georgia is number one on my board.”

Georgia quickly becoming the favorite to flip Toodle from Auburn

While no official prediction has been made yet for Georgia to flip Toodle from Auburn, this comment makes it seem like that is a real possibility to happen.

Sure there is a chance that Toodle is just saying this after his visit because it's the nice thing to do. Recruits hardly ever will trash a school after they take a visit there, but it isn't often that recruits say a team is their "number one" when they are committed elsewhere.

Time will tell if Georgia does end up flipping Toodle from Auburn or not, but at this point it is seeming like a real possibility that they will.
