Georgia football and Kirby Smart all of a sudden are caught up in some drama involving tampering in the transfer portal. Tampering involves contacting and recruiting players who are at another program before they officially enter the transfer portal, which according to the NCAA is illegal.

This hasn't stopped countless programs from doing it though, with Georgia being the latest program to be accused of doing this with Illinois transfer running back Josh McCray. McCray was one of the top transfers this offseason who made the move to Georgia, but the legitimacy of this transfer was questioned by Illinois head coach Bret Bielema on Wednesday.

The basis of Bielema's accusation was that it seemed a little too strange for McCray to already be on a plane traveling to Georgia for a visit less than 12 hours after he officially entered the transfer portal. While this is very fast, it's more than possible for a visit to get set up this quickly, so that is why this claim from Bielema never developed any real legs after he made this accusation.

While many fans came to Georgia and Smart's defense, one college football fan in particular got the attention of Bielema which started a hilarious back and forth between the two.

Bret Bielema gets after it with fan over Josh McCray's transfer to Georgia

This is college football fan "Jon Tweets Sports" initial post on the subject where he incorrectly stated that McCray entered the transfer portal on April 15.

This post seems pretty harmless, but McCray actually entered the portal on April 18 which Bielema responded to with the below post to clear up.

Jon Tweets Sports did respond to this post from Bielema, but Bielema made his point and is 100 percent accurate in what he said. It is worth pointing out though that Bielema said, "Don’t make something of nothing" to this fan when that is exactly what Bielema did in the first place when he questioned Smart and Georgia in this recruitment.

Regardless, it is really fun seeing a college football fan who isn't even a Georgia fan get into it with Bielema regarding a Georgia transfer. But the best part of all is that no individual from Georgia has responded to this accusation from Bielema because there was no basis for this claim in the first place.

So maybe Bielema should take his own advice and not make something out of nothing.
