It has been two years since the Georgia Bulldogs raised the College Football Playoff National Championship trophy, and both the team, coaches, and fans are starving for another title. Even though the Bulldogs were SEC Champions this past season, they still lost their first College Football Playoff game after getting a first-round bye.
With the college football season getting closer each day, On3's Brett McMurphy has released his College Football Playoff prediction, and he seems to know what he is talking about, picking the Georgia Bulldogs to win it all.
This next season will be the second installment of the 12-team playoff, with the potential of it being expanded again to 16 teams soon. The Bulldogs are hoping to reclaim their throne on top of college football this season, especially with a new look when it comes to their offense. The Bulldogs strengthened both their offense and their defense this offseason, but the biggest question remains around the starting quarterback.

Kirby Smart's decision at the quarterback position could make or break the season
Kirby Smart has two very capable quarterbacks at his disposal this season. After the end of last season, and Gunner Stockton playing in place of the injured Carson Beck, it seemed like Stockton's position to lose. However, now it seems like the quarterback race is a little closer than some would have thought.
Stockton is being challenged by young quarterback Ryan Puglisi, who put out solid numbers in the Georgia spring game. Puglisi seems to be very alive in this race for the starting position, as Smart has yet to actually name a starter for the 2025 season.
This is not a decision that is going to be taken lightly, as the quarterback position could be the difference between Georgia winning a National Championship and losing one this next season. Stockton shows good promise, but he doesn't have quite the flash that Puglisi does, but Puglisi doesn't have the in-game experience that Stockton has, so this is probably going to come down to fall camp.
In fall camp, these guys will work with the first team offense, and it will probably come down to whoever shows the better skills then, but this competition could continue throughout the season as well.
Smart and Georgia are ready for another championship, and clearly, McMurphy thinks they are ready as well.
