Every Georgia football fan knows just how great of a tight end Brock Bowers is. He was electric his entire career at Georgia, and is quickly making waves in the NFL.

After his successful career in Athens, Bowers was selected 13th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders. That selection is one that the Raiders likely do not regret.

So far this season, Bowers has recorded 70 receptions for 706 yards. Both of these stats are top 10 in the NFL among all tight ends. On top of that, Bowers has also found the end zone three times this season, including scoring once in each of the Raiders' last two games.

Speaking of the Raiders last game, Bowers had one of the best performances of all time. So much so that he did something that no rookie tight end has ever done before in NFL history.

Borck Bowers sets rookie tight end receiving record

During the Raiders 34-19 loss to Miami on Sunday, Bowers recorded a whopping 13 receptions for 124 yards and one touchdown. Those 13 receptions are the most in a single game by a rookie tight end in NFL history.

The best part about this performance from Bowers is that it wasn't just a random good game, this has been the norm all season. This is his second game of the year with double digit receptions, and his fifth game of the season with at least eight. Bowers has also now recorded over 90 receiving yards four times this year as well.

It's unfortunate that the Raiders aren't having a better season so far, but clearly that is not because of Bowers. Bowers is having one of the best rookie seasons in the entire NFL this season, which is something that is not a surprise to any Georgia fan.
