There aren’t many football players who have left Georgia with a better resume than Brock Bowers. Not only was Bowers dominant on the field as he helped Georgia win two National Championships during his three year career, but he perfectly embodied what it means to be a Bulldog.

But there was one thing missing that would make Bowers one of the greatest Bulldogs of all time. A college degree. While finishing your degree really isn’t that important from a fan’s perspective, there’s no denying that it adds to the legacy a player leaves behind.

Bowers however felt it was important to finish his degree, and that’s exactly what he did this spring instead of working out the Las Vegas Raiders.

It isn’t uncommon for players to go back to school to finish their degrees, but it isn’t often that players do this in the middle of their professional careers. That is especially the case with a career that is just getting underway.

But the fact that Bowers wrapped up his degree four years after arriving to Georgia shows how impressive his work ethic is.

What’s next for Brock Bowers?

Only one thing remains for Bowers now, having as good of an NFL career as he possibly can. And if his first season with the Raiders is an indication of what’s to come, Bowers could go down as one of the greatest tight ends of all time.

Bowers finished the 2024 season with 112 receptions for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns. This went down as one of the best rookie seasons from a tight end in NFL history, and it was capped off with Bowers finishing second in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.

The Raiders unfortunately had an awful year as a team as they finished last in the AFC West with a 4-13 record. So Bowers certainly is looking for Las Vegas to have a much better season as a team. But if Bowers continues producing seasons as impressive as 2024, then it’s just a matter of time until everyone agrees that he’s the best tight end in the league.
