Georgia football is gearing up to host their first big recruiting weekend of the offseason. Typically official visit weekends dominate the month of June, but the Bulldogs are rolling out the red carpet a few weeks early as they plan to welcome a long list of elite recruits from across the country this weekend.

While there are many recruits worth talking about that will be in Athens this weekend, one of the players that will dominate the conversation is a five-star offensive lineman who just shared that he will be at Georgia this weekend.

5-star IOL Darius Gray will visit Georgia this weekend

According to On3's Steve Wiltfong, five-star interior offensive lineman Darius Gray will take an official visit to Georgia this weekend. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gray is the No. 29 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 interior lineman in the 2026 recruiting class as well as the No. 2 player from his home state of Virginia.

Having an elite offensive line is one of the easiest ways to dominate a football game. That has been something that Georgia and Kirby Smart have been able to rely on during their run of back to back National Championships on both sides of the ball a few years ago, but this past season saw Georgia's offensive line take a step back. So the potential addition of a player like Gray would help those issues become a thing of the past.

It's also impossible to not dream about the potential of landing Gray along with five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. Cantwell is set to announce his commitment on May 13, and right now it is looking like Georgia will be the team that wins out. So that means there is a very real chance Georgia adds two five-star offensive lineman in this recruiting class alone.

Gray has a few other official visits scheduled throughout the month of June, so Georgia may not find out their fate for awhile. But UGA has a shot to become Gray's leader if they can put on a great visit for the talented lineman this weekend.
