Georgia football QB Carson Beck recently met with the media on Monday to discuss UGA's upcoming showdown with Texas in the SEC Championship game. But Beck was also asked about Georgia's season up to this point and the things he's done well and things Georgia can improve on.

One question asked of Beck was why he seems to play better in the second half of games this season compared to the first half, and according to Beck it has to do with him being able to handle pressure really well.

"I think in pressure moments and pressure situations, I've been in those my entire life, and it really doesn't feel like pressure,” Beck said via uga.rivals.com. “That's what I love to do. So, when those moments do come, it's either you do it or you don't.”

In a perfect world Beck would play just as good in the first half as he does in the second half, but that unfortuantely hasn't been the case this season. But it is nice to know that when the game is on the line and Georgia needs a big drive that Beck is more than capable of making the big play in these massive moments.

Beck discusses how difficult their schedule was this year

“It's been more difficult than in years past, at least since I've been here, as far as, you know, the road to, you know, how we got here, right?” Beck shared. “It hasn't been all butterflies and rainbows, win every game by 50, 40. No, like every game has posed a challenge. And we've had to fight consistently week in and week out.”

Georgia has faced the most difficult schedule in the country this season. That's why their 10-2 record is so impressive compared to year's past when they were winning 11 and 12 games before postseason play began.

But all things considered, winning games by a smaller margin and only winning 10 games is still very good when Georgia has faced teams like Clemson, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss and Tennessee this year.

Hopefully the College Football Playoff committee starts recognizing how impressive this is, because so far they haven't given all the respect that Georgia deserves up to this point.
