Former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck is finally recovered from his injury and has taken the field for the first time at Miami (FL). Seeing him in Miami gear for the first time is strange, but Georgia fans have gotten used to the idea of their former star QB playing for a new program.

As one would assume, Beck has been asked to compare his time at Georgia to his first few months at Miami a lot, and recently he spoke about the shocking similarities between practices at Georgia and Miami.

“I think, I mean obviously coach Cristobal was at Alabama with coach Saban, as was coach Smart,” Beck shared via si.com. “A lot of those guys that are in that tree, they run their practices the same exact way. It’s the same intensity. It’s the same practice script.”

“I remember last night I’m going over the script of what we’re going to do throughout the practice, the plays, the different periods,” Beck continued. “It was literally like copy and paste, you know what I’m saying? So I’m sure there’s a lot of schools around the country that their fall camp all looks the same.”

Georgia and Miami practices feel similar to Carson Beck

Georgia and Miami are two programs who compete at the highest level in college football, so it really shouldn't be surprising to find out that the intensity at which they run through their practices is similar. However, the fact that Kirby Smart and Miami head coach Mario Cristobal both coached under Nick Saban makes it even less surprising that the practice scripts are so similar.

Knowing how idential Georgia and Miami's practices are, it will be interesting to see if that leads to similar success on the field for Beck at Miami. Regardless, Beck faces a significant challenge as his Miami tenure begins, and if he fails he will have a lot of happy Georgia fans ready to brag about their success without him.
