Carson Beck rises on NFL Draft boards
Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck has had an interesting year so far this season. Coming into the season, Beck was viewed as one of the top QBs in the country if not the best. Many NFL Draft experts even had him as their first QB being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft later this summer.
But fast forward to this season and Beck has not fully lived up to the hype. He has struggled during a majority of this season, and even had a stretch where he threw three interceptions in two straight games. This season overall, Beck has completed 65 pecent of his passes for 2,835 yards and 19 touchdowns. Those are solid numbers through 10 games, but it's his 12 interceptions that are most worrisome.
However, Beck has still had some games where he reminds everyone that he can be a legit threat in the NFL. And the best example of that was Georgia's win against Tennessee last weekend where Beck arguably had the best game of his career. He completed 25 of 40 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns, even adding a third touchdown on the ground as well. And the best part was that he had zero turnovers.
This recent game was noticed by one NFL Draft expert in particular, who has moved Beck back into the 1st round of his 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
Carson Beck back in the 1st round of the NFL Draft
ESPN NFL Draft expert Matt Miller recently updated his 2025 NFL Mock Draft, and he currently has Beck going 18th overall to the Los Angeles Rams.
This would mean that the Rams would view Beck as their quarterback of the future as he would sit behind fellow Georgia QB Matthew Stafford to learn the ropes from him. The Rams have proven to be a great organization at identifying and developing talent, so this would be a great spot for Beck to land later this summer.
It will be interesting to see where Beck gets drafted later this summer, but hopefully he continues to play well so he can be taken in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.
