Former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck will play in the College Football Playoff semifinals Thursday night against Ole Miss. Georgia had a chance to face and beat their former QB, but their loss to Ole Miss last week ended their season before they even had a chance.
Beck for the most part has kept his comments pretty tame after Georgia's loss to Ole Miss. This is a bit surprising because he got the last laugh over his former team by making it further in the playoff, but Beck did make sure to take at least one shot at Georgia after their loss to Ole Miss.
Carson Beck couldn't hold back his excitement after watching Georgia lose
Beck and Miami beat Ohio State in the CFP quarterfinals one night before Georgia played Ole Miss. So he and the Hurricanes got to sit back, relax and watch this game unfold to see who their next opponent would be. It's unclear if Beck wanted to play Georgia or not, but he made sure to rub UGA's loss in their face on social media when he captioned his post "poetic justice."
It's clear that this is Beck having some fun at Georgia's expense. Beck received so much backlash from the Georgia fanbase after he entered the portal and moved on to Miami, and while many still believed it was deserved, Beck headed south and went straight to work as he helped lead Miami to a 10-2 regular season and trip to the CFP semifinals.
Georgia did have the better regular season that ended in an SEC Championship, but Beck does get the last laugh as he made it further in the playoff.
Beck hasn't said all bad things about Georgia this week as he did give them some credit for helping him prepare to play Ole Miss. But there is no denying that Beck isn't a little happy to see Georgia come up short in the playoffs.
