Georgia football once again will face one of the toughest schedules in the country during the 2025 season. Thankfully for UGA, many of their difficult games are at home this season. This includes Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas who will all be making the trip to Athens this year.

Georgia does however have some difficult road games this season as well, with their SEC opener at Tennessee being the game that stands out the most. While UGA will expect to win this game, this is undoubtedly the road game Kirby Smart and Georgia are most likely to drop this season.

CBS however has recently predicted Georgia to lose another game this season, and if this prediction came true it would really upset UGA fans.

CBS predicts Georgia to be upset by SEC rival

On Oct. 11, Georgia will travel to Auburn for their sixth game of the season and their fourth in conference play. In recent years, this is a game that Georgia automatically marks as a win, and for good reason because UGA is currently riding an 8-game win streak against their rival.

So while Georgia fans might be likely to predict another win against the Tigers this season, CBS has other ideas. CBS believes Auburn will finally get a win in this series and knock Georgia off.

And in all honesty, this could definitely happen. Auburn will be a much improved team this year as they utilized the transfer portal to fill holes all over their roster. They also have a stellar freshmen class coming in that’s ranked No. 8 in the country. On top of that, it’s still unclear how good Georgia will be this season. They will still be one of the top teams in the SEC, but they might not be as strong as years past.

While Auburn does have a chance to win this game this season, Georgia should still be the team predicted to win. There is still a gap in talent between these two teams, and until Auburn proves they can overcome that gap on the field then no one should be predicting them to beat Georgia.
