If you’ve watched Georgia football over the last two years, you know where to find the heart of the team. The guy in the middle of the defense with the "3" on his chest.

CJ Allen didn't just fill the shoes of the greats like Roquan Smith or Nakobe Dean, he forged his own path as a consensus All-American with eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 2025 which sets him up for success at the upcoming NFL Draft later this week.

Georgia fans expect to see Allen to be the first Bulldog off the board, perhaps with Dallas or Pittsburgh, but wherever he ends up he will continue the Bulldogs pipeline to the NFL.

CJ Allen continues Georgia-to-NFL pipepline.

Looking across the NFL you will see former Bulldogs making plays all over the field, especially on defense. Allen is the prototypical modern linebacker who should be the next in line to make a huge impact in the league as he's got the "see ball, get ball" mentality and the strong frame to shed NFL-sized guards.

Scouts are drooling over his lateral quickness and his ability to stay on the field for all three downs, but everyone in Athens knows there is so much more to his game than that.

"Closes with purpose and arrives with conviction," Gabe Brooks said via 247sports.com. "Physical vs. the run with straight-line juice to provide intriguing blitz option. Projects as a potential high-major impact player with a long-term ceiling."

With that kind of praise, it's no wonder that his draft status as a first rounder are as solid as they can be. Where Allen actually ends up will be known for certain on April 23rd, but it's a lock that he will make an impact and create havoc for opponents' offenses, just like he did while at Georgia.

Bulldog fans can cheer him on when his name is called, embraces Roger Goodell in a bear hug, and puts on the hat and holds up the NFL jersey with his name on it.
