For various reasons, Colbie Young may not have gotten it all out of his talent during his run at Georgia. He initially played at Miami, but was a big presence whenever he was out there for the Dawgs. In a very loose sense, he played wide receiver with the same kind of isolation tactics that made AJ Green an absolute legend Between the Hedges. Fate would have it, Young is on his way to the Queen City...

The Cincinnati Bengals wisely decided to make Young their No. 140 overall pick in the fourth round.

Georgia has had many so great players end up starring for the Bengals after they have turned pro.

From Green, to Geno Atkins, to Clint Boling, Young seems like he has got next to now earn his stripes.

Colbie Young must pick AJ Green's brain for how to be great in Cincinnati

Young was the second Georgia wide receiver taken in this draft after Zachariah Branch went to the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 79 overall pick in the third round on Friday night. Branch may have gotten the bulk of Gunner Stockton's targets last season, but Young was too a vibrant part of the Georgia receiving corps whenever he was out there. He will be part of an ensemble cast with the Bengals now.

He is going to a team with Joe Burrow under center and star wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins outside the numbers. That means he will have some favorable coverages to exploit. If he can play like he did at times at Georgia and at Miami, he could have staying power in the league with the Bengals. Again, his game was always like a lesser version of what Green brought to the table at UGA.

In short, this is more than just another Georgia wide receiver going to the Bengals like Green did way back in 2011. Young has the chance to be a better pro than he was a collegiate. It usually does not work out like that, but this is a tremendous landing spot for him. Cincinnati may have a flawed roster, but the Bengals do have talent in some key spots, and play in a winnable division. Just go for it then...

At this time, every Georgia player who has been drafted is going to good to great situations for him.
