Georgia football's showdown against Ole Miss is quickly approaching. The Bulldogs matchup with Ole Miss is the only top 10 game of the week, and with SEC Championship and College Football Playoff implacations on the line this is a game no one will want to miss.
ESPN's College GameDay will be in Athens for this matchup to hype up the game all morning long. One of the best segments every week is the final segment when the GameDay crew picks the winner of about 10 games throughout the country. GameDay always brings a guest picker in that typically has some sort of ties to the host school, but the guest picker ESPN just announced is about as random as it gets.

ESPN's College GameDay announces Jelly Roll as Georgia vs Ole Miss guest picker
College GameDay announced on Thursday that country singer Jelly Roll will be the guest picker on their show in Athens. Jelly Roll is a four time Grammy Award nominee and three time Country Music Award winner, so it's obvious that he brings the starpower GameDay is looking for. But what about his connection to Georgia? Is he even a UGA fan?
Jelly Roll was born in Tennessee but he did grow up in Georgia, so there is a good chance he is a big Georgia fan. But other than the fact that he grew up in the Peach State, there is no public tie between him and Georgia which makes him a strange choice.
Regardless, Georgia fans will get to enjoy College GameDay on Saturday which always makes for one of the best games of the season. However, the only thing that matter is if Georgia is able to beat Ole Miss, and at the end of the day no guest picker, whether they are a big Georgia fan or not, will be able to help UGA win on the field.
