Many college football fans think that following recruiting today is not as much fun as it was in the past. That is because so much information is known about every recruitment that the surprise factor has almost been entirely removed when it comes time for a player to announce their commitment.

However, there is a recruit Georgia football and Kirby Smart are aggressively pursuing where multiple insiders are naming different programs as the current leader.

4-star WR Ryan Mosley

Ryan Mosley is a four-star wide receiver from Carrollton, GA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Mosley is the No. 218 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 37 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 26 player from Georgia.

Mosley has been a top target for Georgia throughout this recruiting cycle, and according to Rivals Recruiting Director Adam Gorney, it sounds like Georgia might be the team to be beat.

“Georgia has been one of the main contenders for Mosley and the Bulldogs might have pushed even further up the list after his recent visit,” Gorney said via uga.rivals.com. “He received a ton of one-on-one time with the coaches and he got more insight into how the program and the culture work in Athens. That was followed up by an in-home visit as USC and Texas A&M are others to watch but it sure sounds as if Georgia is by far the team to beat.”

Conflicting insider information

Hearing someone as in the know as Gorney is say this is extremely exciting. However, there is some conflicting information out there surrounding Mosley’s recruitment.

While Gorney and Rivals think Georgia is the leader for Mosley, 247Sports thinks South Carolina is the current leader. This was seen by two South Carolina insiders logging official crystal ball predictions for Mosley to commit to the Gamecocks on Jan. 27.

This will most certainly be a wild recruitment to follow based on this conflicting information, but hopefully it is Georgia who comes out on top because Mosley would be a huge addition to the Bulldogs’ recruiting class.
