Arch Manning has been the most talked about college football player since his career began in 2023. He has been connected to Georgia all throughout his college career because he has played, and lost, to UGA three times while at Texas.
This however is no longer the only connection he has to Georgia because former Bulldog David Pollack believes he could end up playing at Georgia next season because an anonymous SEC coach apparently told him he thinks it will happen.

Arch Manning has shown interest in Georgia in the past
To Pollack's credit there are a few reasons why Manning to Georgia makes sense. For starters, Georgia was a main player in his high school recruitment when he originally committed to Texas. Georgia was one of his finalists and he took multiple visits to Athens, so he clearly already had some interest in UGA at one point in his life.
Georgia also is a great landing spot for any great quarterback. They almost always have a great defense with playmakers all over the offense that would excite any quarterback, so if Georgia is ever in the market for a transfer QB it makes sense for the top quarterbacks in the portal to have interest in them.
These two reasons however aren't enough for Pollack to act like he could actually end up at Georgia next season though.
David Pollack needs to share more evidence than an unnamed SEC coach
Pollack really didn't give any evidence for why Manning could actually end up at Georgia. All he said was that a nameless SEC coach told him this, but that doesn't mean anything. If it was a coach at Texas or Georgia then maybe there would be some validity to it, but if it was a coach from any other school there's no way they would actually know anything.
Kirby Smart also hasn't ever gone into the portal for a starting quarterback. He in the past has dipped his toes into the portal to look for more depth at the position, but he has never gone after elite quarterbacks who expect to be the starter at their new school.
Instead Smart likes to ride with the quarterbacks who stay loyal to Georgia and wait for their turn in the program. That's what Stetson Bennett, Carson Beck and Gunner Stockton all did, so following this trend it would be Ryan Puglisi up next. Puglisi also has shown signs already that he will be ready to become the starter next year when Stockton is gone with the most recent example being when he completed his only three passes during Georgia's first drive against Auburn when Stockton had to come out of the game.
Smart's past with how he has handled the quarterback position is far better evidence than anything Pollack said. At the end of the day there is a chance that Manning could end up at Georgia next year, but the chances of that happening feel slim. In reality he is probably far more likely to stay at Texas for another season, go to the NFL or transfer to many other schools before he ever comes to Georgia.
