The college football world is getting closer to commitment season. June tends to be the month the most recruits commit to a school while they take their official visits, and there’s no reason to think that’ll be any different for Georgia or any other school this year.

Four-star corner Censere Gaylord is nearing a final decision as he just announced his four finalists. He won’t commit until after he makes an official visit to all four schools, but he has set the stage for Georgia and three other schools to make one final push in his recruitment.

4-star DB Censere Gaylord gives Georgia one final chance to impress him

Georgia is joined by rivals Georgia Tech, Auburn and Washington in Gaylord’s top four. This may seem like a random group of finalists, and that’s because it is. He is the No. 110 player in the country and from the state of Florida, so seeing some big name southern schools excluded from this list is a bit shocking.

But Georgia thankfully was able to make the cut, and now they have one final chance to win this recruitment.

Gaylord has an official visit scheduled to all four schools. His visit to Washington and Auburn are the only two that have been made public so far, and they are taking place over a weekend in June. Georgia should expect to host him around that same time, and that will be their chance to make a big impression.

Gaylord will more than likely commit after he takes these four visits. That means his trip to Athens will be extremely important for Smart and his staff to nail because it could be their last chance to impress him. But looking at the three schools they are up against it’s hard to imagine Georgia losing this battle because they are head and shoulders above each program on this list.
