No Georgia football fan needs to be told how difficult UGA's schedule will be this season. However, in case someone needs a reminder, the Bulldogs will play the eighth most difficult schedule in the country according to ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI).

So which games will be the most difficult for Georgia to win this season? According to the FPI ranking set by ESPN, these five games will be the most challenging for Kirby Smart and Georgia this season.

Georgia's 5 most difficult games this season

1. Texas Longhorns (FPI No. 1)

2. Alabama Crimson Tide (FPI No. 3)

3. Tennessee Volunteers (FPI No. 10)

4. Auburn Tigers (FPI rank No. 13)

5. Ole Miss Rebels (FPI No. 14)

Georgia's three most difficult games this season are simple to predict. Texas is the favorite to win the SEC and the National Championship this season, and the FPI rankings agree as they have the Longhorns as their No. 1 team entering the 2025 season. Not far behind is Alabama, who is the FPI's No. 3 team this year.

The third most difficult game for UGA this season will be their first road game of the year week three when they travel to Tennessee. Even though the Vols lost star quarterback Nico Iamaleava to the Transfer Portal this offseason, they are still the No. 10 team according to the FPI.

There are a few teams on Georgia's schedule who could be next on this list, but the FPI goes with rival Auburn as Georgia's fourth most difficult game as the Tigers are the No. 13 FPI team. This is followed by Ole Miss who is the No. 14 team according to the FPI.

The good news for Georgia is that three of these fives games are at home which includes the two most difficult against Texas and Alabama. So if the Bulldogs are going to repeat as SEC Champions this season, they thankfully will have a good chance to accomplish that if they can successfully defend Sanford Stadium.
