The NFL Draft is quickly approaching as it is scheduled to begin at the end of this month on April 24. And to no one's surprise, Georgia football is projected to have many players selected in the upcoming draft.

This includes three players who are predicted to be taken in the first round, which includes defensive lineman Mykel Williams. There are many teams that Williams could end up on, but that is not what ESPN focused on in their latest article about the talented Bulldog.

Mykel Williams predicted to be a bust

Of all the players projected to be a first round draft pick this year, ESPN believe that Williams is the most likely player to be a bust. This is a title nobody wants as it means the player did not even come close to living up to the hype and expectations surrounding them when they came into the league.

So why does ESPN feel this way about Williams?

For starters, they are not impressed with him only getting 14 sacks during his three years at Georgia. This seems like a weird thing to get hung up on because 14 is a pretty solid number, and Williams was consistent all three seasons by getting at least 4.5 sacks each year.

On top of that, ESPN also views Williams not participating in the vertical jump, broad jump or 3-cone drill at the NFL Combine as a negative as well. They did point out that he might have skipped these drills because he is rehabbing from an ankle injury, but they are still deciding to hold that against them.

Georgia fans will always support every player in the league, but this recent report about Williams should only increase the support he receives in the NFL. Hopefully Williams sees this report from ESPN, because that could just be the extra motivation he needs to excel when he gets to the NFL.
