ESPN's weekly College GameDay show won't be at Ole Miss this weekend for Georgia football's game against the Rebels, but that doesn't mean they don't have their eyes set on an upcoming Georgia game.

Georgia is yet to play host for GameDay this sesaon, but with the Bulldogs playing well and looking like one of the best teams in the country, it would not be surprising for GameDay to have interest in visiting Athens before this season ends.

Time is running out for Georgia to host GameDay this year as they only have three more games after this weekend. Thankfully the Bulldogs have a massive game approaching that could peak GameDay's interest.

Could GameDay be heading to Athens?

GameDay has been present for a Georgia game twice this season. They saw Georgia lose to Alabama and then knock off Texas on the road two weeks ago. GameDay likes to spread themselves out throughout the year and see as many teams and venues as possible, but they may be setting themselves up to head to Athens in two weeks.

In two weeks, Georgia welcomes Tennessee to Athens for an SEC showdown. This game will have massive SEC championship and College Football Playoff implications, especially if both teams win their games this weekend.

Also, if the game were played today it would be between two top 10 teams. That will always be a hard thing for GameDay to turn down.

Lastly, there really isn't another big game in two weeks. The only other game that would currently be a ranked matchup is No. 19 Clemson vs No. 23 Pittsburgh, but that game clearly doesn't have as much juice as this one.

We won't find out for a few days if GameDay will come to Athens or not, but there is a great chance that we will see them in Athens when they take on Tennessee.
