Georgia football has countless games this coming season that they could realistically lose. Even though that is the case, the Bulldogs are expected to be favored by Vegas to win all 12 regular season games in 2025.
Now everyone knows that it is unlikely for Georgia to actually go 12-0 this season, but that should be expected from Georgia because of how talented their roster is. But not everyone expects a perfect season from Georgia this year. In fact, ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) has predicted Georgia to lose just one game this season.
FPI predicts Georgia to lose to Texas again
According to the FPI, Georgia's one loss this season will come at the hands of Texas. The FPI however essentially views this game as a coin flip because they give the Lonhorns a 50.5 percent chance to come out on top.
Georgia fans shouldn't trust ESPN's FPI though because of how often it was wrong last season. The FPI predicted Georgia to lose both meetings against Texas last season, including when the met in Atlanta at the end of the season in the SEC Championship game. Everyone knows that Georgia was able to dominate Texas twice and win both matchups, so UGA fans likely won't put much credit into this prediction.
It is worth mentioning however that the FPI did correctly predict Georgia's upset loss to Ole Miss last season. The Bulldogs were road favorites against the Rebels last year and most expected Georgia to win, but the FPI predicted an Ole Miss victory which turned out to come true.
Computer analystics like the FPI are right from time to time, but they are never something that everyone should believe in 100 percent of the time. Georgia fans however can't deny that Texas is Georgia's most difficult game this season, so the fact that the FPI thinks this game is essentially a coin flip reinforces the idea that UGA should expect to have a great season this year.
