Every season Georgia has a few true freshmen that dominate from the moment they step onto the field. Sometimes these players are completely unexpected, but other times the player was so good in high school that they are expected to be a force from day one.

That is what's taken place with offensive lineman Juan Gaston who was a five-star recruit out of high school.

Gaston has already started multiple games for Georgia and has exceeded the massive expectations that were set before him. Unfortunately ESPN does not agree as they did not even list him as one of the top 15 freshman in the country so far this season.

Georgia snubs 5-star Juan Gaston from top freshmen list

One of the hardest things to do in college football is start as a true freshman offensive lineman. The jump from high school to college at that position is massive, so even the best linemen out of high school usually don't start. But that was not the case with Gaston who earned the start in Georgia's season opener this year.

It's one thing to be named a starter but it's another to play well, but Gaston has shined so far this season. He has shown the ability to block well in pass protection and get out in space and throw defenders to the ground. The two plays below show just how special he is and why he was given five stars out of high school.

Gaston has been dealing with an injury this season that has forced him to miss some time, so that is why ESPN might have left him off this list. But that shouldn't matter because when he has been on the field he has been as dominant as any freshman in the country.

Now that Gaston is getting healthy again he is only going to get better. So don't be surprised to see him make this list by the end of the season as he continues to flex his muscles and anchor Georgia's talented offensive line.
