Most Georgia football fans at one time or another have probably imagined what it’s like to be the starting quarterback at UGA. Gunner Stockton is the lucky person to live out that dream right now, and ESPN gave fans a chance to see what his life is like on a normal day.

Ahead of Georgia’s SEC Championship victory over Alabama, ESPN’s Marty Smith spent a day documenting Stockton’s life at Georgia. This video was played during College GameDay, and it gave Georgia fans a chance to see exactly what it’s like to be the leader and quarterback at Georgia.

A day in the life of Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton

Stockton’s day began just after 9:00 AM as he left his house to head to campus. The Georgia QB got in his famous Ford truck that used to be his grandfathers back in the 1980s. The truck eventually broke down, but Stockton said he was able to fix it up and his grandfather let him keep it and use as his own once he started driving in high school.

Stockton then went to the football building to grab some breakfast and sit with tight end Lawson Luckie who told a hilarious story of when he read his wristband of plays wrong during the Tennessee game earlier this season.

Stockton finished off his day by hitting the weight room, having a quarterbacks meeting with Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo and going through a traditional practice with the team before heading home for the day.

The best part about this video is that Stockton is the exact person he always portrays himself as. He is not someone that craves attention. He’s a little quiet and reserved and just goes about his business every day like he always does. But he is the perfect leader that everyone on the team respects and loves to play for, and that is why he is the perfect person to be the quarterback at Georgia.

Stockton has a chance to build his legacy up even more throughout the playoffs this season. And who knows, maybe he will return next year for another season as well. But regardless of if Georgia wins or loses, Stockton has proven to be a man of character and a true Bulldog everyone should aspire to be like.
