Georgia football’s 2026 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 17 in the country. That obviously is not where anyone wants to be, but considering they only have five commits it really isn’t all the bad.

Another positive note is that Georgia’s five commits are all ranked relatively high as well. However, only two commits are inside 247Sports’ top 250 recruits, and they both fell in 247Sports update on Wednesday.

Updated 247Sports rankings

Safety Zech Fort - New ranking 103 (previously No. 87)

Wide Receiver Vance Spafford - New ranking 120 (previously No. 106)

Obviously nobody wants to see any of Georgia’s commits fall in the rankings at any point, but the drops for these two commits aren’t that bad. Both only fell a few spots, and overall they are still ranked very high. The Bulldogs also always have a few commits ranked in the low hundreds every year anyways, so these two look like they will fit that description for this class.

Georgia does have three other commits in their 2026 class as well, so here is where they are all ranked according to the composite rankings on 247Sports.

Corner Jontavius Wyman - No. 165

Tight end Lincoln Keyes - No. 279

Defensive linemen Seven Cloud - No. 1 (JUCO)

Georgia’s 247Sports page also did a deep dive on the new rankings for Georgia targets, which included over 50 players inside the updated top 250 rankings. That information can be found on their site here.

It’s likely just a matter of time until UGA adds another commit to their class. While it isn’t time to panic yet, only having five commits is beginning to feel a little concerning, but knowing Kirby Smart and his staff that will eventually change and Georgia will once again end with one of the top classes in the country.
