Final prediction cements Georgia’s standing with nation’s No. 2 LB

Kirby Smart has shared that he wants to prioritize recruits from the state of Georgia more often going forward. He however won’t just go after anyone from the Peach State because they still have to be good enough for his program.

Thankfully the state always has a lot of elite recruits they can target every recruiting cycle, so it isn’t too difficult to find in-state players to go after.

The latest in-star player Georgia has targeted is linebacker Joakim Gouda. He is a somewhat new name on the recruiting scene for Georgia, but a new prediction has just been logged in UGA’s favor to win this recruitment.

4-star LB Joakim Gouda is trending to Georgia

Gouda is one of the best recruits in the 2027 recruiting class. In fact, Rivals most recent rankings update on Monday shot him up the class rankings all the way to No. 30. So this new prediction in Georgia's favor from recruiting expert Chad Simmons is a very big deal.

But that isn't the only prediction in favor of Georgia. Simmons' colleague Steve Wiltfong also predicted Gouda will end up with Georgia a few days ago as well. So combining these two predictions together tells Georgia everything they need to know.

As mentioned, Gouda is the No. 30 overall player in the country according to Rivals' rankings. He also is the No. 2 linebacker in the country as well, so his potential commitment to Georgia is a big deal for the program.

The only bad news (if you want to call it that) is that a timeline for his commitment is unknown. But as it stands today Georgia is the team out in front by a mile and that is exactly where they want to be.

Now the only hope is that he will commit sooner rather than later.
