Georgia football had their second practice of the spring, but this was the first chance the media were allowed in to watch the Bulldogs take the field. And as one would assume, there were countless takeaways from the practice, even if Kirby Smart only let the media be present for a short amount of time.

But here are three things that stood out during practice the most as well as a sneak peak of a five-star visitor currently on campus.

Gunner Stockton appears to be QB1

As everyone knows by now, Georgia has a quarterback competition this offseason between Gunner Stockton and redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi. Most assume that Stockton is the frontrunner to win the job, and that appeared to be the case during Thursday's practice as he took the first reps throughout drills with Puglisi following suit.

Transfer wide receivers standing out

Two of the biggest additions for Georgia this offseason were at wide receiver when UGA added Zachariah Branch from USC and Noah Thomas from Texas A&M. Thursday was the first chance anyone outside of the program got a look at both players in a Georgia uniform, and they both looked as good as advertised.

Branch showcased his elusiveness that has earned him the label as one of the more electric players in college football. Thomas on the other hand dominated everyone with his size, proving he will be a massive target for whoever Georgia rolls out there at QB in the fall.

Two injured Bulldogs on the field

Both Daylen Everette and Joseph Jonah-Ajonye were on the field at times during practice in a very limited role. Everette and Jonah-Ajonye are both recovering from injuries and are not expected to participate much throughout the spring, but seeing them both on the field shows that their recovery is going extremely well so far.

5-star Jared Curtis is in town

Five star quarterback Jared Curtis is the No. 1 QB in the 2026 recruiting class, and he was present on the sideline during practice taking things in. Curtis is fresh off a visit to Oregon who is his other finalist, but the extended visit for Curtis is underway and going very well so far.
