Georgia football held their second practice of fall camp on Friday, and the Bulldogs hosted a massive visitor who took it all in. Some might think a former Bulldog would be the big name on campus watching practice, but that wasn’t the case this time.

This time it was none other than legendary head coach Jon Gruden who was in town at practice on Friday.

Jon Gruden descends upon Georgia to take in fall practice

Visitors really don’t get more special than Gruden. He is one of the brightest football minds of all time and is someone that is a ton of fun to have around the program.

It’s quite easy to see just how much fun Gruden, the team and even Kirby Smart were having while he was at practice on Friday.

Gruden found his success as a head coach in the NFL. His first head coaching gig was with the Oakland Raiders before he was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Immediately upon arriving in Tampa Bay, he led the Bucs to a Super Bowl win, his only as a head coach.

Gruden spent a few more years in Tampa Bay before being fired in 2008.

After being let go by the Bucs, Gruden immediately became one of the main voices of Monday Night Football from 2009 to 2017. Gruden now finds himself as an employee of Barstool Sports where he is constantly going viral on social media with the crazy theatrics that goes on at that company.

Gruden likely is just stopping by Georgia’s practice just for the love of the game. Maybe he spent some time chopping it up with Smart after practice, but he likely was just there to enjoy himself with one of the best college football programs in the country.

But knowing how awesome and respected Gruden is, let’s hope this isn’t the last time he is seen hanging around the program.
