Former Florida coach Dan Mullen ranks Georgia shockingly low in his rankings

Dan Mullen is not a fan of Georgia football this season.

There are always a lot of interesting storylines between Georgia football and Florida the week leading into their annual rivalry game. This year however, with both teams on a bye week before this matchup, it seems like more stories than normal have come out.

One major storyline everyone has been following is Trevor Etienne and his first game against his former team. But another interesting storyline that is developing involves former Florida head coach Dan Mullen.

Mullen is a college football expert for ESPN, and in this role he regularly ranks the top college football teams in the country. And his latest ranking, which by the way is the worst overall ranking we've seen all year, is very disrespectful to Georgia.

That's right, Mullen has Georgia all they way down at No. 8 in his rankings. While this is bad enough, some of the teams ranked above Georgia make it even worse.

Indiana, Iowa State, Pittsbugh and BYU are all having great seasons, but let's be honest, under no circumstances should they be above Georgia. It appears that Mullen sees that they are all undefeated still this season and is immediately just putting them at the top of his list. Most people know that this is not how rankings work.

Georgia has dominant wins against both Texas and Clemson, which are arguably the two best wins in all of college football this season. Sure they have one loss, but that loss came against Alabama on the road which by no means is a bad loss.

Looking at the rest of Mullen's ranking, where is Texas? Where is Ohio State? Where is Clemson? You're telling me Mullen doesn't think they deserve to be in the top 10 this season?

It's unclear if this ranking was meant to be a shot at Georgia or not, but one thing is for certain. Kirby Smart and Georgia will see this and will use it as extra motivation heading into their showdown with Florida this weekend.
