Every Georgia football fan will remember Jarvis Jones. Jones was one of the most dominant Bulldogs of all time as he was unblockable during his two year career at Georgia in 2011 and 2012.
After his playing career in the NFL was over, Jones began showing interest in becoming a coach. Kirby Smart unsurprisingly gave him a job to begin his coaching career at Georgia, but Jones left that job this past offseason to become the head coach at his alma mater at Carver-Columbus High School.
And in his first year as head coach he led his team to a perfect 15-0 record which they just capped off with a State Championship victory.

Former Georgia Bulldog Jarvis Jones leads alma mater to a state championship
Jones two year career at Georgia was as good as it gets. During those season Jones racked up 91 total tackles, 44 tackles for loss and a whopping 28 sacks. Jones eventually was honored in Georgia's Circle of Honor because of how impressive his career at UGA was.
Jones was selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, but his NFL career never really took off like people expected. He spent some time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals, but after the 2017 season his time in the league came to an end.
Jones however has found his new calling as a football coach, and it appears he is very good at it. This season was his first year as a head coach at any level of football, so that fact alone makes it extremely impressive that he was able to lead his team to an undefeated State Championship season.
It's unclear if Jones ever wants to move up in the coaching ranks or not, but if he does then it's hard to imagine a scenario where he is not successful. And who knows, maybe Jones will end up back at Georgia in a much larger coaching role in the coming years.
