A lot of blame is being passed around after Georgia's loss to Ole Miss. That is pretty standard every time Georgia's season comes to an end, but some fans are more upset than others.
For the past year fans have been wondering if Mike Bobo and Glenn Schumann were the right men to be Kirby Smart's offensive and defensive coordinators. At times they looked like the best assistant coaches in the country, but then there are games like Thursday night where they were not good enough.
Former Georgia star defensive back Corey Moore however shared his opinion of both coaches, and it's clear that he thinks they both need to go.
“As long as Mike Bobo and Glenn Schumann are at those coordinator spots at UGA, we will never win a national championship game,” Moore shared via ugafootballlive.com. “Certain people can qualify for certain positions in life, but that does not mean you are the right fit for the job. I have never been a coach, but I have played the game of football on every level. And if you have an eye for football, you can see this.”
Former Georgia DB wants Mike Bobo, Glenn Schumann gone
The above statement was shared by Moore back in October, but that was before both coaches hit their stride this season. But how does he feel now after watching UGA lose to Ole Miss?
It's safe to say that his opinion has not changed.
“Back in October, I posted this and got feedback and I did see certain reactions online as well,” Moore said. “I was speaking from and seeing the game of football, from the eye of someone who has played and started at the highest level of football. I was not speaking out of emotions, I used the knowledge I have obtained through the game of football, and the logic I spoke on back in October I saw whenever we failed short against Alabama. One thing that I have learned about football is, you have to keep entitlement and feelings out of football if you want to see improvement.”
Bobo and Schumann more than likely will be back next season no matter what Moore or anyone else says. Smart seems to really like what they both bring to the table, and as long as that is the case their job is secure.
But all it could take is one bad year from either coach and people like Moore could see their wish granted.
