Training camps across the NFL are underway, and many former Georgia football stars are securing their places on their rosters. One Bulldogs in particular who is standing out above the rest of the running backs on his team is Zamir White with the Las Vegas Raiders.
"I'm really happy with the running back group," Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said via si.com. "The variety of the styles that the guys have, I love. We have different kinds of makeups of guys. Zamir [White] kind of stands alone. He's the biggest and strongest of the group and he really runs tough."

White unfortunately will not be winning the starting running back job as that will be given to rookie Ashton Jeanty. But he is looking to secure the backup spot behind Jeanty, and according to his head coach he is well on his way to accomplishing that.
White is yet to burst onto the scene in the NFL, but he has been a very solid player throughout his three year career. Last year White started five of the eight games he played in and was able to recored 183 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Georgia fans knows White's potential is much higher than this based on how great he was at Georgia. White spent three years at Georgia as well, and his final two seasons in 2020 and 2021 he was a dominant force. He recorded nearly 800 rushing yards both seasons and tallied 11 touchdowns each season as well.
White's opportunities this season may be limited behind Jeanty, but if he can lock down the second string spot behind him he could be in for a solid season with the Raiders. And at this point in his career, he could really use a big year to secure his future in the NFL.
