Not only is the college football season right around the corner, but so to is the 2025 NFL season. This means that Georgia football fans will get to watch their former Bulldogs take the field in the NFL, which is always a very exciting experience.
The most thrilling part about every NFL season is watching Georgia's rookies take the field for the first time. More often than not they are dominating the NFL the moment they step on the field, but some Bulldogs need a little more time than others to get acclimated to the NFL.
Former Georgia running back Trevor Etienne was drafted with the 114th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers however have decided to not use Etienne very much during the preseason for reasons unknown. But Etienne has had a few chances so far with the Panthers, and one run in particular proved why the Panthers need to give him more chances.

Trevor Etienne shined in small role the Panthers have given him
So far ths preseason Etienne has only received 12 carries from the Panthers. And in those 12 carries he has been able to accumulate 47 rushing yards. That gives him a 3.9 average yards per carry which is not great by any means, but it's hard to get a good read on where Etienne is based on 12 NFL carries.
The above highlight from Etienne however is the best run he has had by far. Etienne was able to show off his impressive speed and quick cuts that made him an electric player for Georgia on offense last season. After seeing a run as good as this, it's weird that the Panthers aren't choosing to use him more, and unfortunately no comment has been made about his lack of playing time.
Maybe Etienne's playing time will increase once the regular season begins, but if he keeps making plays like this then the Panthers won't have much of a choice.
