Former Georgia standout Nick Chubb will make his long awaited NFL return
Now this is something every single Georgia football fan has been anxiously waiting for. Former Georgia standout running back Nick Chubb will reportedly be making his return with the Cleveland Browns this Sunday when they face Cincinatti.
In case you forgot what happened to Chubb, he suffered a grueling injury during last year’s NFL season. During the Browns week two game against Pittsburgh in 2023, Chubb went down with one of the worst knee injuries I have ever seen. The injury was so bad the TV crew refused to show the replay, and rightfully so.
Nobody ever wants to see anyone suffer an injury of that magnitude, but it felt substantially worse seeing it happen to Chubb. There truly is no better representation of what it means to be a Georgia Bulldog. The hard work, loyalty, dedication, and high character he demonstrated every day is something that all of us can learn from. And oh yeah, he’s a really good football player too.
It remains to be seen how Chubb will do in his return, but does any of that truly even matter? The only thing that’s ever really mattered was his health and safety, but now that he is back to full health we finally get to see him on a football field again.
And for a man who was already an inspiration to us all, his story just got that much better. It takes a special person to be able to return after an injury like he suffered, but knowing Chubb like we all do I don’t think any of us are surprised to see that he is back.
His return alone is enough of a victory for any of us to celebrate, anything else he does after this is just icing on the cake.
Chubb’s Cleveland Browns take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at 1:00 pm EST. So be sure to clear your schedules, because this is a moment you won’t want to miss.
