Georgia football is one of the college programs that finds the most success in the NFL every season. The Bulldogs have their handful of players that are regarded as some of the best players in the league every season, but every year there are a few Bulldogs who burst onto the scene out of nowhere and have an elite season.
Last year it was Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey who shocked a lot of NFL fans during his rookie season. In fact, McConkey's rookie season was so good that the NFL included him in their top 100 players entering the 2025 season.

Ladd McConkey named the NFL's 100th best player
Every Georgia fan knew how special of a player McConkey was, but he was a pretty unknown name to NFL fans across the country. That however changed the moment he stepped onto the field with the Chargers as he recorded five receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown in the first NFL game of his career.
McConkey didn't slow down there as he helped lead the Chargers to the playoffs with his 82 total receptions, 1,149 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. McConkey's total receptions and receiving yards were even good enough to set rookie franchise records for the Chargers as well.
The best game from McConkey during his rookie season came in the Chargers lone playoff game where he exploded for a career highs in receptions (9) and receiving yards (197). McConkey also found the end zone once during this game as well.
It will be interesting to see how McConkey does during his second season in the NFL, but he now is rightfully regarded as one of the best players in the league. And he more than likely will be ranked much higher than No. 100 next year at this time entering the 2026 season.
